JAKUB MENSIK VS MIOMIR KECMANOVIC PREDICTION
19-year-old Jakub Mensik is developing nicely on the ATP Tour and the Czech starlet has come through three rounds, including qualifying, to reach this stage. In the first round, he beat Alexei Popyrin 7-6 6-2 as he keeps on impressing. His form in Shanghai was strong in reaching the quarters so he comes into this one in great shape. Before being eliminated by Novak Djokovic in that tournament, he beat the likes of Andrey Rublev and Grigor Dimitrov, so the 19-year-old is not phased by playing top ranked players.
He now meets Serb Miomir Kecmanovic who is just below him in the world rankings and the pair have yet to meet on the ATP Tour.
Kecmanovic overcame Mariano Navone in the first round 6-2 6-4 in what was a comprehensive display against somebody better suited to clay.
This will be a real test for both players and a really good measure of where Mensik is right now. He has the ingredients to beat Kecmanovic but the Serb is playing well and will be no pushover. We can see swings both ways in this one so our preference is game betting but we marginally edge Mensik progressing also.
