JACK DRAPER VS TAYLOR FRITZ PREDICTION

Jack Draper showed that his win last week in Vienna was no fluke nor would there be any drop-off in his form after that title success with an impressive first-round victory. He eased to a 7-5 6-2 win over Jiri Lehecka on Tuesday to show how far he has come against a talented opponent.

He now faces another incredibly tough assignment as he meets fifth seed Taylor Fritz.

The pair have met three times before and Fritz has won two of those. Both of those wins for the American came this year and also came on clay but Draper will not be phased by that. His form on hard courts is significantly better and he has improved a lot in recent months.

Fritz has not played since Shanghai where he reached the semi-finals before losing to Novak Djokovic. He did of course reach the final of the US Open and he seems to be motivated and play better in the bigger events.

It will not be easy for Fritz to hit the ground running after a period of time of inactivity. Especially against somebody with so much momentum like Draper and playing so well, we expect Draper to make the better start of the two and potentially do enough damage by that point to win out.
