Although Iga Swiatek comes into this last eight clash as favourite, she now has to get past an American juggernaut playing arguably her best tennis of the year. You could argue that Pegula is the only player right now capable of matching Swiatek on the hard court surface and beat Swiatek in two of the four matches they had against each other in 2023.
