GRIGOR DIMITROV VS DANIIL MEDVEDEV PREDICTION
Grigor Dimitrov has been in excellent form this week and the Bulgarian will be confident as he meets Daniil Medvedev on Sunday. The 10th seed comes off a straight sets win over Gael Monfils on Friday – somebody who has notoriously caused him problems in the past. Dimitrov will have to do something similar here as he has won just three of ten previous meetings against Medvedev.
Medvedev has looked decent himself and beat Jan-Lennard Struff in a rain-interrupted third round over four sets, but he has not looked dominant against lesser opposition than Dimitrov. That would be my biggest concern although one would expect him to lift himself for the in-form Dimitrov.
I have been more impressed with Dimitrov than Medvedev over the course of the first week at Wimbledon but not enough to favour him here. I do however expect this to be a close and competitive match and one that will go to at least four sets if not five.
