GABRIEL DIALLO VS KAREN KHACHANOV PREDICTION

Talented Canadian youngster Gabriel Diallo is one of three Canadians to be handed a wildcard and the 22-year-old, in just his second year as a pro, will be so fired up to do well in front of his home fans. He faces Karen Khachanov and that will be no easy feat against the Russian who is ranked number 22 in the world but can be prone to upsets.

It is hard to make a case for Diallo unless he really steps up to the challenge which is entirely possible given the support he will receive. Khachanov has done very little of note in recent months and while he started the year with some good wins against decent opposition, that has not been the case of some time. He should beat Diallo but do not rule out the talented youngster pushing him all the way.
