FRANCES TIAFOE VS HOLGER RUNE PREDICTION

Frances Tiafoe meets Holger Rune for the first time ever on the ATP Tour and this has all the makings of a highly entertaining match-up.

Tiafoe was leading in his quarter-final against Hubert Hurkacz after winning the first set but the big Pole was forced to retire with a calf problem. Tiafoe will have welcomed the lesser time on court after some tough matches this week and the American will be fresh and ready for the task ahead of him on Sunday night.

Rune is clearly through his injury issues now and is playing some excellent tennis. Rune skipped past Jack Draper 6-4 6-2 but it would be no surprise if the Brit was a little distracted following the controversy over his match point winner against Felix Auger-Aliassime in the round of 16. Rune produced the goods however and has looked good all week as he has overcome some really quality opponents.

Tiafoe will have the home support on his side but we favour Rune here to have too much quality. He can match Tiafoe for energy but has that little extra in his game that should make the difference. We would not be surprised if this goes the distance, but we favour Rune.
