FLAVIO COBOLLI VS DANIIL MEDVEDEV PREDICTION

Flavio Cobolli did what he had to do to beat Pavel Kotov in the round of 16 but he now faces a really tough test in Daniil Medvedev in the quarters. It has been a reasonable run for the 22-year-old Italian so far as he has beaten Kotov and then Alexander Bublik before that. It now gets serious however as he meets the sixth seed.

Medvedev has been impressive so far in his straight-sets wins over Gael Monfils and then Adrian Mannarino last time out. He has been warming up nicely and getting some momentum on this hard court leg of the ATP Tour and he will take some beating this week.

These two met in the US Open just a couple of weeks ago and it was the Russian who won in straight sets 6-3 6-4 6-3. While Cobolli has done well so far this week, the level of opposition has not been high and he will likely get exposed in this match. Expect Medvedev to have too much quality and get the win here.
