THE PREDICTION

World number 18 Reilly Opelka reached the quarter-finals of the Geneva Open this week before coming unstuck against the defending champion Casper Ruud in straight sets. The 24-year-old won the Houston Open on clay at the start of April but he has since struggled on the surface, including at the Italian Open where he lost in the first round to Stan Wawrinka to fall way short of his semi-final run the previous year. World number 56 Filip Krajinovic is the more complete player on clay but the Serb has struggled for consistent performances for much of the last few years. The 30-year-old beat Frances Tiafoe and Andrey Rublev in Rome last week, though, for some of his better results in recent times and backing him to earn at least a set in the longer format in Paris seems a reasonable move. You could add at least a tiebreak here with big-serving Opelka involved.
