It’s been a mixed year for Felix Auger-Aliassime as he seeks to fight his way back up the rankings after an injury-plagued 2023, but he comes into this match with a degree of confidence after reaching the semi-finals of the Paris Olympics and winning a bronze medal in the Mixed Doubles event.

The Frenchman takes on rising star Flavio Cobolli, with the world number 33 having reached his first ATP final just last month. The Italian reached the third round of the Australian Open on hard courts earlier this year, while his run to the third round of the Madrid Open three months ago is his current best at an ATP 1000 event.

Cobolli is growing with confidence all the time and is surely a future top 20 player, but Auger-Aliassime should just be that little bit sharper here following his Olympic exertions and is fancied to win this in three sets.
