ELENA RYBAKINA VS ELINA SVITOLINA PREDICTION

Although Elena Rybakina benefited from opponent Anna Kalinskaya dropping out through injury in the second set of their round of 16 contest, she was already firmly in command of that match having won the first set as well as the first three games of the second set. The 2022 champion’s only dropped set so far was against Laura Siegemund in the second round, and she has otherwise played at a formidable standard.

Elina Svitolina, a two-time semi-finalist at the All England Club, has likewise dropped just a single set en route to the quarters, and delivered her most impressive performance of the tournament when she destroyed Xinyu Wang for the loss of just three games in the round of 16.

This is the second Grand Slam meeting between the two this year, with Rybakina winning in straight sets in the fourth round of the French Open last month, although their career head-to-head score stands at two wins apiece. A close battle is expected here, with both women having played some excellent tennis so far. Whichever way this goes, expect it to go the distance.
