DANIIL MEDVEDEV VS JANNIK SINNER PREDICTION

Daniil Medvedev is reportedly struggling with injury coming into this tournament but given the rewards on offer for the six stars participating, it was unlikely he would withdraw from this event.

Medvedev has been playing reasonably well in recent weeks but has been beaten by Sinner twice and Carlos Alcaraz in his last three tournaments. He is among the best of the rest but is struggling against the elite players.

He was comprehensively beaten by Sinner 6-1 6-4 in Shanghai last week and the Italian has dominated their recent meetings. The head-to-head reads 7-7 but Sinner has won seven of the last eight meetings.

Sinner is in sensational form right now and is coming off winning the US Open and then in Shanghai last week. Barring complacency or any other unknown issues, there is little hope for Medvedev here especially given the injury concerns. Expect Sinner to win in straight sets.
