DANIIL MEDVEDEV VS CARLOS ALCARAZ PREDICTION

Daniil Medvedev picked up another straight-sets win on Monday as he eased past Flavio Cobolli to set up a semi-final showdown with Carlos Alcaraz. Medvedev is looking really strong in Beijing and he will be eager to get to the final but he has an in-form Spaniard in his path.

Carlos Alcaraz is getting sharper by the match and in turn, the confidence in his play is clearly returning. The Spaniard has won all three matches in straight sets so far in Beijing – just like Medvedev - and he has faced different styles of opponents. He continued his dominance over Karen Khachanov in the quarters which was the seventh successive time he has beaten the Russian.

He now faces Medvedev who he also has an impressive record against having beaten him five times in their seven meetings, including the last three in a row. Two of those have come in 2024 at Indian Wells and Wimbledon with Medvedev winning just one set in the last eight they have played. Alcaraz is fired up to bounce back after his disappointing form of late and he simply has to be favoured to get the win here.
