The 27-year-old is yet to drop a set this week after continuing his one-way streak against Dan Evans and then ousting Taro Daniel on Thursday. Ruud beat Nishioka in straight sets in their only previous meeting but the Japanese should not be underestimated at this moment in time. The sensible option is taking the top seed to win outright with Nishioka well capable of making this awkward.
