Delray Beach Open top seed Cam Norrie played exceptionally well to oust Florida native Sebastian Korda in three sets on Friday in a return to his 2021 form. The 26-year-old set a career-high ATP world ranking of 12th last season after winning his second title of a breakthrough year at the delayed Indian Wells Masters and he looks in great shape to defend that title next month back in its usual March spot. Norrie beat Tommy Paul in three sets at Indian Wells last season on his way to that shock title but the American is in much better form now after winning his first ATP title soon after at the Stockholm Open. Paul will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of at least 38th no matter the outcome here but he will be well-backed as Norrie’s second-successive home hopeful and three sets seems likely here. Take Norrie to win at least one of them as the likelier of two very capable winners.
