BOTIC VAN DE ZANDSCHULP VS JACK DRAPER PREDICTION
28-year-old Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp stunned the tennis world on Wednesday as he incredibly beat Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets to eliminate one of the best players in the world.
Alcaraz was not at the races but Van de Zandschulp started well and played a consistently solid level making very few unforced errors to earn the famous win and move into the third round.
The third round is the furthest he has been since he reached the quarter-finals in 2021 on his debut in the tournament and he will now be full of confidence that he can beat anybody. Maintaining that level will be a tough ask however.
Jack Draper will know how much of a challenge Van de Zandschulp will pose but he will be delighted that he is not facing Carlos Alcaraz. That said, Draper is in fine form right now himself and he will not fear anybody the way he is playing. He has comprehensively beaten both Zhizhen Zhang and Facundo Diaz Acosta, and he will look to carry on with this momentum.
Our preference here is with the Brit. Draper has been playing at a consistently high level for a while now and he can overcome Van de Zandschulp in a match that should go to four or even five sets.
