BEN SHELTON VS JUNCHENG SHANG PREDICTION
Ben Shelton is aiming to make it third time lucky against Juncheng Shang, who has had the better of the USA star in each of their previous two meetings. Shang’s last two victories have come against American players, including a 6-1 6-1 win most recently vs Andres Martin. He is fresh having played plenty of Tennis heading into this match having come through the qualifiers.
Although Shelton will be raring to go, it may take him time to get to grips with the court and conditions in his first match of the tournament, which could play into Shang’s favour. When taking this into account, it would be no surprise if the 19-year-old catches Shelton cold and pips the first set. This makes backing a three-set-contest here good value.
