The American rising star is making his Masters debut in Cincinnati look easy after overcoming Lorenzo Sonego in the first round, giving him a 3-1 tour record after making his full debut at the Atlanta Open last month. World number 11 Cam Norrie is one of the more un-shockable players on tour, though, and the Brit looks a solid favourite to overcome this challenging youngster on Thursday. The 26-year-old beat fellow Brit Andy Murray in a well-contested three-setter on Wednesday to pass a significant test as the new British number one and he is at his very best on a North American hardcourt. Norrie is excellent at coping with pressure and a whole Cincinnati crowd pulling in Shelton’s favour should not phase him for long. Back the ninth seed to win outright.
