ARYNA SABALENKA VS YULIA PUTINTSEVA PREDICTION
Top seed Aryna Sabalenka won her opening match 6-4 6-4 against Katerina Siniakova and she now faces another test as she comes up against Yulia Putintseva in the round of 16.
After her impressive winning streak came to an end at the hands of Karolina Muchova at the China Open last week, she will be keen to respond in Wuhan this week.
She now meets Putintseva who has won their only previous meeting which came back in the 2019 edition of the US Open. The Kazakh player won that match in straight sets but it is hard to read much into that encounter given the fact it was over five years ago.
Sabalenka is in the form of her life right now and poses a stern test for anybody. Putintseva is more than capable on her day and she showed that at Wimbledon when she stunned world number one Iga Swiatek in the third round. However, she has had some really poor results since then and it is hard to have much confidence in her playing at a really high level. Expect Sabalenka to win this in straight sets.
