The 21-year-old claimed her maiden WTA title at the Istanbul Open during the clay swing and she can break her current career-high WTA world ranking of 45th by reaching the semi-finals here in Cluj-Napoca. Potapova beat Bondar in three sets at the start of this season but the Russian has pushed her level on significantly since.
