ANDREY RUBLEV VS GRIGOR DIMITROV PREDICTION

Andrey Rublev is in a rich vein of form right now as the Russian has thrived on this North American hard-court spell of the ATP Tour. His performance against Jiri Lehecka in the third round on Friday night was one of the best performances of any player at the US Open this year. After making four quarter-final appearances in his career in this event, his form right now suggests he could surpass that this time around.

Standing in his way is Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov and the 33-year-old is playing some pretty good tennis himself too. He has won all three of his matches so far in straight sets and he has only been taken to a tiebreak in one set. This is arguably his first real tough test however and one he will have to raise his game for.

Our preference here is for Andrey Rublev. The 26-year-old Russian has been in outstanding form for a good few weeks now and he is looking really strong. Dimitrov is serving really well but Rublev is capable of handling that and making the veteran work harder than he has had to so far. This could go four or five sets but we expect Rublev to progress.
