ANDREY RUBLEV VS FRANCISCO COMESANA PREDICTION

Andrey Rublev reached the quarter-finals last year at Wimbledon in what is his best performance to date in this particular Grand Slam so that will give him some confidence coming into this year’s event.

That said, the Russian has not been in particularly good form son far this season. He did manage a quarter-final appearance at the Australian Open and he won the ATP 1000 in Madrid but otherwise it has been a relatively underwhelming season so far. He will be hoping that changes here but he will have to show a much improved display than the one that saw Marcos Giron beat him on his only grass match of 2024 two weeks ago at Halle.

He does however face a relative unknown in Francisco Comesana who is on the ATP Challenger Tour. The Argentine naturally specialises on clay and that combined with his lack of experience makes it difficult to have any real confidence that he can compete here. Rublev should get the win and straight sets should be within his grasp assuming he is suitably motivated.
