World number 36 Aliaksandra Sasnovich is desperately seeking a good run in Cleveland this week after an early exit at the Cincinnati Open. The 28-year-old could sneak a seeding at the US Open this weekend with enough drop-outs but it is matches she needs here after playing just twice since late July, the second of which was an encouraging straight-sets victory over Aleksandra Krunic on Sunday.
