ALEXANDER ZVEREV VS LORENZO MUSETTI PREDICTION

Alexander Zverev has had a straight-forward run to the quarter-finals so far as he beat Joel Schwarzler and then Marco Giron without dropping a set. The German is looking confident, and in the venue where he won back in 2021, he will fancy his chances of going far this time around.

He faces off against Italian Lorenzo Musetti who received a walkover in the round of 16 as veteran Gael Monfils withdrew due to fatigue. That will mean Musetti has had a couple of days rest between matches as he won his opening match against compatriot Lorenzo Sonego 6-3 6-2 on Monday.

The pair have met twice before and the last time came in the quarter-finals at the Paris Olympics this summer. It was Musetti that won that match 7-5 7-5 and that will give him plenty of confidence coming into this one.

Zverev is heavy favourite to win this match and with good reason. He should be able to create enough chances on Musetti’s serve to break him and while we would not rule Musetti out from pushing him to potentially three sets, it is Zverev’s to lose.
