ALEXANDER ZVEREV VS ARTHUR FILS PREDICTION
Alexander Zverev has marched into the final this week in fine form and despite a knee complaint after a nasty fall against Cam Norrie, he has romped into the final with straight-set wins all the way. He will be desperate to defend his title after winning it in his native Hamburg last year for the first time, and based on his form so far this week, it is hard to oppose him.
The man standing in his way is the exciting 20-year-old Arthur Fils who warmed the hearts of everybody at Wimbledon with some fine fighting displays en route to the round of 16. He has much more pedigree on clay and he has been in excellent for this week beating some quality players. He beat the tricky Jaume Munar in the round of 32, then Laslo Djere in the round of 16, Holger Rune in the quarters, and then Sebastian Baez in the semis. There can be no doubting the quality of opponent he has beat this week which is arguably better than what Zverev has faced.
That said, he still has to somehow find a way to beat Zverev and that is hard to see. Zverev beat him in the semis before winning the title here last year and then beat him in their only other meeting at Halle prior to Wimbledon. Zverev should have enough to beat him here once again although do not be surprised if Fils takes a set off him.
