ALEJANDRO DAVIDOVICH VS MATTEO ARNALDI PREDICTION

Alejandro Davidovich stunned Daniil Medvedev in the second round as he knocked out the third seed in three sets. Davidovich made the better start only for Medvedev to bounce back emphatically to win the second set 6-1. However, Davidovich regained control in the third and ran out 6-2 winner with two breaks to pull off a major shock against Medvedev who had high hopes for this tournament.

Davidovich now faces Italian Matteo Arnaldi in what should be a highly entertaining round of 16 match. Arnaldi is in solid form and the 23-year-old will be able to more than match Davidovich for athleticism.

Arnaldi has beaten Mackenzie McDonald and then Karen Khachanov already this week and his confidence is high right now. This will be another tough test of his credentials and a good measure of where he is right now. Davidovich’s form on hard courts in recent weeks just gives him the edge for us but this really is one that could go either way.
