THE PREDICTION
World number 399 Michail Pervolarakis gave a good account of himself against Federico Delbonis on Monday but the Greek was eventually well beaten after a first-set tiebreak. He faces Aleksandre Metreveli, who stepped up superbly to take an opening set against world number nine Hubert Hurkacz after Nikoloz Basilashvili pulled out of their first option rubber before losing in three. On their performances this week and with some amount of tension in the Greek camp it would seem world number 570 Metreveli could snatch this one but the advice for this whole Greece vs Georgia tie is to stay well clear. The entire tie is a dead rubber which will more than likely see Stefanos Tsitsipas pull out with his elbow issues needing rest and it is unclear if Basilashvili can return too, meaning this match-up could well end-up the first option rubber in an odd turn of events. If so, take Metreveli to win at least a set as the likelier winner but it would need patience to see who takes to court and against whom.
