THE PREDICTION
World number 106 Ludmilla Samsonova took out the German Open seventh seed Victoria Azarenka in emphatic fashion on Saturday to reach her first WTA title. The 22-year-old will face world number 12 Belinda Bencic for a first time in what is likely the biggest match of her career but the Swiss has been here and done it all before. 24-year-old Bencic has had a so far indifferent year on tour but she will be the favourite to claim a fifth career title on a surface she has pedigree on having won the 2015 Eastbourne International. Samsonova will be looking to the meteoric rise of Roland-Garros champion Barbora Krejcikova for inspiration here and she should be able to have at least some of this match go her way. However, take Bencic to win at least a set here in a really tricky result to call.
