THE PREDICTION
World number six Alexander Zverev survived a huge scare in the first round of Roland-Garros on Sunday after fellow German Oscar Otte raced to a two-set lead. 24-year-old Zverev should be suitably annoyed at his start in Paris but it could also come to his aid as he is often capable of such lapses in concentration and he should be more focused from now on. He faces Russian qualifier Roman Safiullin after the world number 182 git past Carlos Taberner in four sets in the first round and the 23-year-old could be looking to follow in the footsteps of Aslan Karatsev at this Grand Slam after Karatsev qualified then stormed to the Australian Open semis back in February. However, Karatsev did not have to face such a tough prospect so soon as the Madrid Open champion so take the German as outright winner here.
