The Czech lost his only previous Grand Slam match at Roland-Garros last year where he pushed an out-of-sorts Taylor Fritz all the way before losing in five sets. He will fancy his chances here against Mario Viella Martinez but the 25-year-old Spaniard is coming in hot having reached the round of 16 at the Great Ocean Road Open last week. Between two relative unknowns this seems a difficult result to side with but both players to take a set looks a reasonable option to settle for. At a push, Viella Martinez should edge this on recent form.
