Taylor Fritz vs Zhizhen Zhang Prediction

Taylor Fritz bounced back from his opening loss against Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime to beat Croatia’s Borna Coric 6-3 6-2 on Tuesday. The 27-year-old is enjoying this tournament playing with Coco Gauff and the pair are looking formidable as they enter the knockout stage.

They now meet China and Fritz meets Zhizhen Zhang who he has played once before. It was Zhang who won that match in Madrid in 2023 but that came on clay and this will be a different proposition on hard courts.

Zhang won his opening match against Brazil’s Thiago Monteiro but lost his second against Germany’s Alexander Zverev. This will be another stiff test for him and it is hard to make a case for him here. Fritz is warming up nicely and should get the win and help his team progress to the semi-finals.
