Taylor Fritz vs Denis Shapovalov Prediction

Taylor Fritz’s 2025 has yet to really ignite but he will take heart from the way in which he ended the 2024 campaign reaching the ATP Tour finals final.

He eased past Arthur Rinderknech in the first round in Dallas winning 6-4 6-2 and the number one seed this week now meets Canadian Denis Shapovalov.

In his win over Rinderknech, his first serve was excellent as he fired down 11 aces and won an impressive 93% on his first serve. Rinderknech won a solitary seven points on Fritz’s serve such was his dominance.

He now faces Shapovalov who he has played nine times before and Shapovalov just leads the head-to-head 5-4. It is Fritz who has won the last two matches however and that is in-keeping with Fritz’s rise in the rankings.

It is Fritz who has to be favoured here as the American has the edge in their recent meetings. Shapovalov is serving well himself right now and that could very well lead to a long match with short service games and rallies. We marginally prefer Fritz but consider the overs in the game betting.
