The prediction

The Sydney Swans and Port Adelaide head into Sunday's crucial clash at the SCG with identical two win and three loss records. The Swans were never really in the contest against Collingwood during gather round going down by four goals. On the flip side, Port Adelaide stunned the competition by blitzing Hawthorn with a dominant first half and an eventual 121-91 victory.

With Joel Amartey succumbing to a hamstring injury, Sydney is going to need to find some goal kickers from somewhere; perhaps it is Hayden McLean who grabbed three majors last week against the Pies.

For Port Adelaide, Mitch Georgiades registered three against the Hawks and has been their most consistent threat in front of the big sticks.

In their matchups last year Port thumped Sydney by over 100 points in Adelaide before Sydney won the preliminary final 94-59 to make another Grand Final.

The SCG has long been a fortress for the Swans however if Port play anything like their first half against the Hawks last week they will be very tough to beat.
