Su Mudaerji vs Mitch Raposo Prediction

Su Mudaerji comes into UFC 314 in desperate need of a win after losing his last three fights in a row. The Chinese flyweight was submitted twice by Matt Schnell and Tim Elliott and then lost a unanimous decision against Charles Johnson last time out so he is under some pressure to halt this three-fight skid on Saturday night.

He comes up against Mitch Raposo who is desperate to prove that he belongs in the UFC after losing on his promotion debut last time out. He lost to Andre Lima at UFC 302 via split decision and he will be hoping to get back to winning ways here. Prior to that loss, he was riding a four-fight winning streak with three knockouts in a row.

We have seen that Su Mudaerji is somewhat limited in the UFC but we are yet to see whether Raposo can enjoy any success in the Octagon. We only have the small sample of one fight in the UFC while we have seen that Mudaerji can beat those at the lower levels in the division.

Based on experience at this level and the fact he has won some bouts in the Octagon previously, we marginally favour Mudaerji to get the win but with very little confidence. Our preferred play, based on styles and desperation on both sides, is on this fight not going the distance.

Prediction: Fight will not go the distance
