Strasbourg Preview: Silky Strasbourg
Former Hull City coach Liam Rosenior took charge of Strasbourg over the summer and he has helped the Alsace-based club play quite an entertaining style of football. For example, their 15 matches in Ligue 1 have consisted of 52 goals so far this season.
The hosts have struggled, though, for consistency as they drift down towards the bottom end of the table but they did head into the winter break on the back of a 3-0 hammering of struggling Le Havre before then defeating Calais in the cup a few days later.
Auxerre Preview: Overachieving Auxerre
Following their promotion to the top-flight last season, Auxerre had struggled a touch in the opening few months of the campaign but they now begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting in the top-half and even pushing towards the European spots.
The visitors went into the winter break on the back of an entertaining 2-2 draw with Lens at Stade de l’Abbe Deschamps a few weeks ago before then suffering a shock 1-0 loss to lower league Dunkerque in the Round of 64 of the Coupe de France.

Auxerre Team News: Raveloson suspension
Auxerre have a few key injury issues to deal with, as goalkeeper Donovan Leon and midfielder Hamed Junior Traore, are injury doubts, whilst key midfielder Rayan Raveloson will be missing through suspension for this weekend.
Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Negrel; Osho, Jubal, Akpa; Joly, Owusu, Danois, Mensah; Perrin, Onaiwu; Sinayoko

Strasbourg vs Auxerre Prediction
As mentioned, Strasbourg have been very entertaining to watch this season but with supporters already and still unhappy with the ownership of the club, making them just a feeder club to Chelsea, things will need to take a turn on the pitch for Rosenior. They are facing an Auxerre side that have shown they can mix it with anybody in the top-flight and will fancy their chances of exploiting the likely large amounts of space left by Strasbourg. Given that, this could well be a high-scoring affair in Alsace.
Strasbourg vs Auxerre Tip: Over 2.5 goals
