Stephen Bunting vs Luke Humphries Prediction

It's been quite a week for Stephen Bunting, whose 2025 Premier League nightmare came to an end in Berlin last Thursday. Having lost at the first hurdle in the first eight weeks of the campaign and without a point to his name, the Bullet defeated Nathan Aspinall, Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price to claim maximum points at a packed-out Uber Arena.

The new world number four then stormed to the International Darts Open over the weekend, his first European Tour title, defeating Premier League rivals Humphries - his quarter-final opponent here - and Nathan Aspinall in his victorious run.

He faces Humphries, then, for a third time in the space of a week. The world number one will be keen for revenge but he has spoken lately of some mental health struggles while on the oche and also of his desire to take a break from the game at some point.

Unlike Bunting though, Humphries did enter this week's Players Championship events and, despite not going deep in either tournament, he did average over 100 in four of his five games.

Bunting's confidence is sky-high right now but Humphries' level rarely drops too far so expect a close battle that goes over 9.5 legs.
