Stephen Bunting vs Kai Gotthardt Prediction

Reigning Masters champion and PDC World Darts Championship semi-finalist back in 2021, Stephen Bunting has all the tools in his locker to go very far on this occasion following a consistently strong year on the PDC Pro Tour in 2024. But he’ll need to be on it from the start against a dangerous Kai Gotthardt, who has momentum on his side following a first-round victory over Alan Soutar.

After going 0-1 behind, Gotthardt reeled off three consecutive sets to take down Soutar despite having to change his darts mid-game. However, Bunting represents a significant step up in opposition and it’s unlikely that the German will be able to keep up with the relentless scoring of the number eight seed.

With that in mind, back former Lakeside World Champion Bunting to come out on top and book his place in round three.
