Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Pablo Carreno Busta Prediction

Stefanos Tsitsipas was happy to put an end to the 2024 season and the Greek star is looking to ‘reinvent’ himself as he looks to get the new season off to a positive start.

The 26-year-old made a coaching change midway through the season but his inconsistency continued to plague him as he struggled to find anywhere close to his best in a below-par second half to the year.

He will start afresh in Australia and he will be fired up to start well. He meets Pablo Carreno Busta who was in a superb form on day one. The 33-year-old surprised himself at just how well he played as he beat Aleksandar Shevchenko 6-2 6-1 and it will be interesting to see if he can continue that form here.

The pair have met on three previous occasions on the ATP Tour and Tsitsipas has won all three meetings. That will give the Greek star plenty of confidence coming into this one and while the Spaniard looked impressive on Friday, we like Tsitsipas’ chances here.
