Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Felix Auger-Aliassime Prediction
Stefanos Tsitsipas has enjoyed a fantastic week in Dubai as he has played and beaten some really good players so far. He beat Lorenzo Sonego, Karen Khachanov and Matteo Berrettini before taking on Tallon Griekspoor in the semis and beating him 6-4 6-4.
The 26-year-old Greek has grown in confidence and belief and a couple of three-set battles have really helped him click into gear this week.
He now takes on Felix Auger-Aliassime who is playing some superb tennis himself in recent weeks. The Canadian has already won the title in Adelaide at the turn of the year, picked up the Open Occitanie and then reached the semis in Doha last week.
His confidence is sky high right now and he will have good belief coming into this final. He came through a fourth consecutive three-setter on Friday as he beat Quentin Halys and that would be the only concern that fatigue may possibly catch up with him given the lengthy, albeit successful, weeks he has had recently.
He comes up against a familiar foe in Tsitsipas who he has met nine times before on the ATP Tour. Tsitsipas leads the way having won six of those meetings and those six have come in the last seven matches.
Auger-Aliassime has been superb for the last couple of months but we just slightly fear the schedule may catch up on him here. Combined with the fact he is playing somebody who has had the measure of him in recent years, we lean towards Tsitsipas to lift the title here.
