Sri Lanka Betting Analysis

Sri Lanka took just six wickets across the entire first Test as Australia’s batters tucked into their bowling and ground them into the dirt. All six of those wickets came via spin, with Prabath Jayasuriya and Jeffrey Vandersay sharing them out. Since then, opening batter Dimuth Karunaratne has announced his retirement from Test cricket following this match, which will be his 100th Test. The 36-year-old will be desperate to make his mark after scores of just 7 and 0 in the opening game and backing him to record a score of fifty or more in his final Test is a play worth making.

Australia Betting Analysis

We recommended backing Australian bowler Nathan Lyon to take over 4.5 wickets in the first Test and that he did, accumulating seven scalps overall. However, he was arguably outshone by his fellow spinner in Matthew Kuhnemann. The left-arm tweaker provided a point of difference that Sri Lanka couldn’t handle and ended up with nine wickets to his name, including a five-wicket-haul. Back Kuhnemann to be afforded further success here, specifically to take 5+ wickets via the ‘Bowler Milestones’ market.

Sri Lanka vs Australia Expert Prediction

Australia are clearly a much stronger side than Sri Lanka in all areas of the game and that was brutally emphasised last time out from both a batting and bowling point of view. It’s hard not to see the tourists continuing that dominance here on the same ground in Galle with the batters eying up more runs, whilst spinners Lyon and Kuhnemann await menacingly for their chance. Any outcome other than a second Australian victory would be a surprise.
