South Korea vs Oman Prediction

The controversial tenure of Jurgen Klinsmann in charge of South Korea has come to an end and they once again look to be one of the strongest sides on the continent under the management of Hong Myung-ho, whilst Oman remain in a good position to get into the fourth round.

South Korea have managed four victories and a draw from their 12 matches in Group B of the third round of AFC qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They have been steady and difficult to play against, having scored just 12 goals in six games. They did most recently share a 1-1 draw with Palestine in Jordan during the November international break.

They now face an Omani side that have managed two victories and four draws as they sit tucked inside the top four and challenge to get into the fourth round of AFC qualification. Oman’s victories have come against Palestine and Kuwait but they lost 3-1 at home to the fairly low-scoring South Koreans in the reverse fixture of this one.

They have also lost 4-0 to Jordan away from home in this campaign and that is a sign they can be heavily beaten so the Koreans, especially in Seoul, will expect to win quite comfortably here.
