South Africa Form: Although bats finally fire, it comes in losing cause

The third T20i finally saw the South African batters deliver after two successive failures prior to that. However, they still ended up falling short chasing 220 to win as the Proteas registered 208/7. Whilst plenty of players contribute, Marco Jansen was the only player to kick on and record a score of 50 or more, which perhaps proved decisive.

India Form: Varma heroics prove decisive at SuperSport Park

The one truly big and ultimately, match-winning innings of the third T20i was delivered by Tilak Varma. Batting at number three, Varma sent a huge message to the Indian selectors with a fantastic unbeaten century, his 107 runs coming off just 26 balls and including eight 4s and seven 6s. This, alongside opener Abhishek Sharma’s half-century helped parachute India to what turned out to be a winning score.

South Africa Betting Analysis

The dynamic Heinrich Klaasen showed us why he is such a destructive player in the middle order for South Africa. Following a failure in the second T20i, Wednesday saw Klaasen smash 41 from 22 balls and clear the boundary rope four times. He has now struck five match 6s across the series as it stands, so bettors should explore backing him to register the most match 6s for the Proteas in this last game.

India Betting Analysis

After racking up a five-wicket haul in the second match of this series, India spin-bowler Varun Chakravarthy has since followed that up with another three scalps in the third game. It’s now 11 wickets across three T20i fixtures against South Africa for Chakravarthy, with the hosts having had little answer for him so far. Such numbers cannot be ignored, so back the 33-year-old to add another 3+ wickets to his collection here.

South Africa Vs India Expert Prediction

South Africa bounced back at the first time of asking after going behind in this series following game one and will believe they can do exactly the same here. The difference so far between both teams in the two games won by the tourists has been one India player going on and gaining a three-figure score. Such an occurrence is usually rare and if that doesn’t happen, South Africa should do what they did in the second T20i and match up well with their opponents. That extra firepower down the order could be critical at the Wanderers and so it’s worth backing South Africa to edge out a series draw.
