South Africa Form: Stubbs’ hot streak goes on

On the back of his first Test century, batter Tristan Stubbs has carried that form into his white ball cricket and was key for South Africa in their three-wicket victory last time out. Stubbs guided his team home with an unbeaten 47 in a successful run chase of 125, despite wickets falling all around him.

India Form: From hero to zero for Samson

Cricket can be a cruel mistress at times. No sooner had Samson played a decisive role in winning the first T20i between South Africa and India with 107 from 50 balls opening the batting for the tourists, he was dismissed without scoring with the third ball of their rematch two days later, that one ending in victory for the Proteas.

South Africa Betting Analysis

A number of big-name South African batters have underperformed across this series so far, which explains why they’ve not been as dominant as perhaps originally expected. However, Reeza Hendricks showed some promise in the second T20i, scoring 24 from 21 balls, including three 4s and one 6. Bettors should consider investing in him to back that up with another score of 20+ runs at SuperSport Park.

India Betting Analysis

Sunday saw another big moment in the fledgling international career of Varun Chakravarthy, who is showing all the signs of becoming a future superstar for India in the white ball game. The spinner took a five-wicket-haul and single-handedly caused a South African collapse, almost dragging his team to victory. Whilst he was unsuccessful on that front, Chakravarthy dominance over those Proteas batters makes him well worth backing to once again finish as India’s top bowler in this first T20i.

South Africa Vs India Expert Prediction

You feel like it’s only a matter of time before South Africa’s key batters finally find their rhythm and take the Indian bowling attack down over the course of a game whether they be batting first or second. Normally, pitches are good for batting in Centurion with an average T20i score of 175 and that favours the hosts. With that in mind, backing South Africa to take a series lead heading into the final match warrants serious consideration.
