Sharabutdin Magomedov: Unbeaten Dagestani eager to earn title shot
Sharabutdin Magomedov (15-0) has looked just as destructive since joining the UFC as he did beforehand as he remains unbeaten having won all 15 professional MMA fights. Unlike so many Dagestani fighters, he possesses impressive knockout power to combine with his formidable wrestling base which makes him incredibly dangerous. Two of his four wins in the UFC have come by knockout including an impressive KO by double spinning backfist against Armen Petrosyan last time out. That meant he has picked up two Performance of the Night bonuses and one Fight of Night in his last three bouts now.
Michael Page: MVP looking to bounce back from Mahado Garry loss
Michael Page (23-3) has wasted no time since joining the UFC and has had two incredibly tough fights so far. The 37-year-old beat Kevin Holland after his move from Bellator but then saw a unanimous decision go against him when he came up against the talented Ian Machado Garry. That loss since looks better after Machado Garry impressed in his own title shot but Page did fall short and at this age, it is hard to see where he has room for improvement. This is another extremely tough match for him.
Sharabutdin Magomedov vs Michael Page Prediction
We have yet another Dagestani fighter with plenty of intrigue and mystery around him and Sharabutdin Magomedov could well be the most dangerous of all of them.
His outstanding knockout power combined with his superb wrestling make him a formidable opponent for anybody and it is no surprise he has yet to taste defeat.
MVP is the latest man to be thrown in front of him and this will be another good measuring stick for the Dagestani.
We fear for Page here. Magomedov may be getting him at the right stage of both their careers and we just feel like the younger man will have too much for Page here.
Prediction: Sharabutdin Magomedov to win
