Shamrock Rovers vs Borac Banja Luka Prediction

Irish club Shamrock Rovers are arguably one of the revelations of the league phase so far having won two and drawn two. They sit just outside the top eight positions and a victory here could very well catapult them into those places.

With the Irish league having finished at the start of November, Rovers have not played since their 1-1 draw in Vienna two weeks ago, but they should benefit from being able to prepare well for this match.

Borac Banja Luka have had the opposite problem as their schedule in recent weeks has been incredibly busy with matches virtually every midweek and weekend.

The Bosnians come off a 0-1 home defeat at the hands of league leaders Zrinski at the weekend and that was a blow to them. They will however want to kick on in the European campaign as they sit one point behind Rovers after collecting seven points from their opening four games.

Rovers struggled in the first half of their last match as the lack of action was evident and that could well be the case once again here. They will be cheered on by over 7,000 fans which should help get them fired up while they have some positive team news. Aaron McEneff and Rory Gaffney are ruled out but Danny Mandroiu, Graham Burke and Aaron Greene are all back in full training and could feature.

With Chelsea to come in their final match, Rovers cannot leave anything to chance and we favour them to overcome any lack of sharpness to get the victory.
