Shamil Musaev: Unbeaten Dagestani star looking to seal final win
Shamil Musaev (17-0-1) has made an impression since joining the PFL in 2024 by winning three bouts and making it all the way to the welterweight final. His first two fights came via knockout and then he won a unanimous decision against Murad Ramazanov in August to make it through to the final. Prior to joining PFL, he fought in Belarussian, Russian and Polish organisations and built his impressive record but this is undoubtedly the biggest fight of his professional MMA career.
Magomed Umalatov: 17-0 star aiming to extend 100% win record
Magomed Umalatov (17-0) has been in the PFL since 2021 and he has been on some tear ever since. He has won all eight fights since then and he will be looking to win his fourth bout in 2024 with a victory in this final. 11 of his 17 wins have come by knockout but he is equally strong on the ground and he really is an impressively well-rounded fighter.

Shamil Musaev and Magomed Umalatov meet in this welterweight final and this is one of the most exciting bouts of the entire card.
There is very little to divide the two when it comes to their records but it is Umalatov’s that stands out more from a quality perspective. He has fought a higher calibre of opponent over the years and been just as dominant which is what makes us lean towards him getting the win here.
It would be no real upset if Musaev did pull it off, but we are firmly favouring Umalatov here.
