SERHIY SIDEY: CANADIAN LOOKS TO BOUNCE BACK FROM SPLIT DECISION LOSS

Serhiy Sidey (10-2) had been riding a six-fight win streak prior to his loss at UFC 297 and the Canadian will be keen to bounce back here. He earned his shot in the UFC via his success in Dana White’s Contender Series but was frustrated to lose in a close fight to Ramon Tavares on his debut. The Ontario native now gets to fight in Canada and he will be itching to get his first win in the Octagon.

GARRETT ARMFIELD: BANTAMWEIGHT SEEKS THIRD WIN IN FOUR UFC BOUTS

Garrett Armfield (10-4) was submitted last time out at UFC on ESPN 58 in June by Brady Hiestand and he will look to get back on the winning trail here. He had won his two previous bouts in the UFC including a good win at UFC 297 when he got a unanimous decision win over Brad Katona. In what is his fifth fight in the UFC, he will be keen to take his record over .500 in the promotion (currently 2-2).

SERHIY SIDEY VS GARRETT ARMFIELD PREDICTION

We have another Canadian on the undercard and it is Serhiy Sidey who will be the fans’ favourite coming into this one. He meets Garrett Armfield and both fighters are coming off losses as they return to the Octagon.

Armfield is the one with greater experience in the Octagon and we are somewhat surprised he comes in as the slight underdog in the betting markets. He has a couple of wins under his belt in the UFC already, and has shown he is capable of competing at this level.

He is our preference in what is a relatively even fight, and the value is clearly on him in our opinion. Take the American to upset the home fighter in this one.

PREDICTION: GARRETT ARMFIELD TO WIN
