Sebastian Baez produced a fine display to end Marton Fucsovics' eight-match winning run at the Romanian Open and advance through to the final. The Argentine saved all six break points he faced in the match, winning 6-2 6-2.

He has now reached three finals this season, defending his title at the Argentina Open and losing in three sets to Laslo Djere in Chile. He’s established himself as one of the most formidable players on the surface in 2025 and will take some stopping.

Flavio Cobolli put together his best performance of the season so far to take down Damir Dzumhur in straight sets. The Italian did not even concede a break point during the entirety of the match, thrashing his opponent 6-3 6-0 and is clearly heading into some form after a very difficult start to his campaign.

There’s just nine places separating these two in terms of world ranking, but we’re backing top seed Baez, who has arguably played the most impressive tennis in Bucharest, to claim a second title on clay this season.
