Cardiff face a tough tour of South Africa without their Welsh international contingent travelling to Johannesburg first on Sunday to face the Lions and then Cape Town to face the Stormers next week. They got the URC season off to an excellent start with a win at home to Connacht but back-to-back defeats at Ospreys and at home to Bulls were both avoidable and could cost them down the line. They take on Lions on a two-match winning streak but the hosts will be boosted heavily by a first home game of the season after three straight defeats on the road back in October. This looks one of the closer match-ups in South Africa this weekend and considering it has been five weeks since both sides’ last matches taking the hosts as outright winners looks a suitably cautious pick.
