THE PREDICTION
Leinster were held off admirably by a spirited Cardiff side last time out in the United Rugby Championship for a first defeat, other than a covid-19 cancellation, in five. They should be able to bounce back at home to travelling Edinburgh with both sides missing plenty of international stars but this is no gimme at all considering the visitors’ overall form this season. Edinburgh were also shocked on the road in a 23-19 defeat at Ospreys two weeks ago to make it back-to-back defeats on the road across all competitions, although a stunning 18-21 victory at Saracens back in December is proof of what they could achieve on a good day here. Leinster have two games in-hand over current URC leaders Ulster and they will be desperate to get this one over the line, so taking them to cover a very cautious -3 looks sensible here.
