THE PREDICTION

Crusaders and Chiefs will do battle for the Super Rugby Aotearoa title in what looked to be an unlikely matchup earlier in the campaign. The Chiefs failed to win a single game in last year’s competition and they started with back-to-back losses this time around before turning things around with a five-match winning streak which included a one-point victory over their opponents here. The defending champions topped the standings once again in 2021 and will look to secure the crown for a second successive year but the Chiefs will not make it easy. However, with the Crusaders winning three of the last four clashes between the two, it would be a shock if they failed to retain their title.
